Coloured Hardwood Bamboo Saxaflute

The Coloured Hardwood Bamboo Saxaflute is the jewel of the range. Built from dense Tam Vong, the same strong “iron bamboo” at its core, it’s then transformed with layers of wood stains used by woodturners, blending chestnut tones and other colours into a unique, living palette. A friction polish of shellac, linseed oil, and mineral oil brings it to a glassy, high-gloss finish that catches the light like a polished instrument of art.

It uses an alto saxophone mouthpiece with standard alto reeds and includes a cap, ligature, and soft cloth bag.

Available as a tenor in G major and an alto in A major, it carries the richest voice of the family. It can whisper or roar, smooth or gritty, with layered overtones that feel both refined and adventurous. It’s the most visually striking Saxaflute, and a sonic centrepiece for players who want beauty in both tone and form.
